BSC seminars provide high-quality, up-to-date building science information to professionals in the building industry seeking to differentiate themselves from their competitors by using the principles of building science to mitigate risk and build high-performance, energy efficient, durable, and healthy buildings. Seminars are engaging and delivered by leaders in forensic investigation, building science research, and risk mitigation with extensive design and field experience in residential, commercial and institutional construction.
Building Science Fundamentals is a LIVE! virtual seminar that teaches the basic knowledge needed to design and build durable, energy-efficient, affordable, and healthy buildings. Our past registrants have benefitted tremendously from the interactive sessions with Dr. Lstiburek where questions are encouraged. Because of that, we limit attendance to 50 or so. Each $595.00 series consists of 4 afternoons of instruction. Upon completion of the seminar, members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will receive 16 LU|HSW posted directly to the AIA Provider website. The sessions will be held on the following dates:
- AVAILABLE: Apr 11, Apr 13, Apr 18 and Apr 20
- AVAILABLE: June 13, 15, 20, and 22
The time for the sessions will be from 1:00-5:00 pm EST.
Dr. Joseph Lstiburek will discuss building science principles (such as the control of heat, air, and moisture and IAQ) and show you how to apply them to low-energy enclosure design, advanced HVAC systems, forensic investigations, and the repair and retrofit of existing buildings.
The Fundamentals class has been attended by thousands of builders, architects, engineers, building science consultants, building code officials, facility managers, building product manufacturers, and government officials.
Deep Energy Retrofits is a LIVE! virtual seminar that applies the principles of building science to retrofitting existing building enclosures. Numerous examples of high performance retrofit techniques will be covered for the building enclosures of various types of buildings: wood frame residential, multi-family residential, mass masonry buildings, historic buildings and commercial buildings. The sessions are interactive. Dr. Lstiburek encourages questions. Because of that, we limit attendance to 50 or so. Each $495 series consists of 2 afternoons of instruction. Upon completion of the seminar, members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will receive 8 LU/HSW posted directly to the AIA Provider website. The sessions will be held on the following dates:
- May 16th and May 18th, 2023
The time for the sessions will be from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST.
Dr. Joseph Lstiburek will discuss how to address the control of heat, air and moisture and the control of IAQ while providing significant energy and carbon reduction.
