The Lake Charles, LA house is a 1,255 square foot, one-and-a-half story single-family detached house with three bedrooms, two baths, raised on a pier foundation located in Lake Charles, LA (Hot-Humid Climate). It features an unvented roof with 2 layers of 2” rigid insulation. The walls consist of 2” rigid insulation with no insulation in the stud cavities. The house showcases double pane, impact rated, Low-E windows and doors. The underside of the first floor joists is insulated with 2” continuous rigid insulation and covered with fiber cement cover board.
