The Cleveland, OH house is an 1,800 square foot, two-story single-family house with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a loft and a 1,056 square foot basement located in Cleveland, OH (Cold Climate). It features a vented attic with R-30 unfaced batt or blown insulation. The walls consist of 1” XPS rigid insulation and R-19 unfaced batt insulation in the stud cavities, with R-19 unfaced batt insulation at the rim joist. The house features Low-E, argon-filled windows. The foundation wall is insulated with 1 ½” foil-faced polyisocyanurate rigid insulation on the interior and the slab is insulated with 2” EPS rigid insulation.
