 221 of the homes constructed at Prairie Crossing meet Energy
Star criteria. A program of ongoing performance testing is being
conducted. Performance testing has been completed on 123 homes. Fan
cycling controls are installed in these houses to provide fresh air through the
existing duct system.
 All
of these houses exceed the 95 MEC by 50%. These houses use advanced
framing, insulating sheathing and controlled mechanical ventilation. The
furnaces are 92% efficient and ductwork is located inside the conditioned
space.
